Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to Some Frequently Asked Questions

Senior student in class

Here are some simple answers to some questions you may have:

Q - Do I need to believe in Dr. Patrick’s Trigeminal Neuralgia treatment for it to work?

A - No, that’s not necessary. Some of our most openly skeptical patients have become our biggest believers.

Q - What can I expect during my office visits?

A - You will need to come to our office daily for 5 consecutive days - Monday through Friday - for your appointments. The initial visit is scheduled Monday morning for 3 hours from 9 AM – 12 PM. Approximately,    6 -7 additional visits are scheduled for Tuesday through Friday. The duration of those visits will vary from 30 to 45 minutes depending on how well and how quickly your body responds to treatment.

To assist you in making arrangements to visit our office in person, we have provided a 'Where to Stay and Where to Play' suggestions for lodging at the Residence Inn by Marriott or the Oxford Suites as well as restaurant, shopping and leisure information in Chico, CA.

Q - How many TN treatments will I need?

A - The number of treatments varies. Some people may see Dr. Patrick several times in a day; others less often, depending on how well your body responds and processes each treatment. Since each person’s response to treatment is unique, we are only able to give you an estimate of the number of visits and the amount of time you will spend with Dr. Patrick.

Q - Are Dr. Patrick’s treatments compatible with my medical care?

A - Current medical care should not interfere with Dr. Patrick’s TN treatments. You will not have to discontinue your medications or stop the care provided to you by your medical doctor. Please take note, however, that the knowledge and training Dr. Patrick has differs from a medical doctors’ approach, therefore, your medical doctor will not be able to provide you with an informed opinion about our TN treatment approach.

Q - Will Dr. Patrick’s treatment be effective for everyone with Trigeminal Neuralgia?

A - Life does not have any guarantees, but we will do our best to make your visit as risk-free as possible by refunding your money, minus a $2,000 nonrefundable deposit, if you cancel later than one week from your first in-person appointment.

Q - So can the Trigeminal Nerve pain come back after treatment?

A - Yes, no, or maybe. Without a crystal ball to look into the future we cannot answer that question with any degree of accuracy. However, we will give you ideas and information about how to take care of yourself to lessen or alleviate your TN pain after your visit as part of our 3-month post Trigeminal Neuralgia treatment care program.

Q - What should I expect when I have a consultation with Dr. Patrick?

A - Every patient who comes to Dr. Patrick for care begins their journey towards feeling healthier with a consultation. The consultation is essentially a tool for you to get to know Dr. Patrick and his unique approach to your health and wellness. It also serves to give Dr. Patrick a better understanding of your specific health concerns. For more information regarding how to prepare for your consultation with Dr. Patrick…

Q - How soon should I expect to see results with the Dr. Patrick’s Trigeminal Neuralgia Treatment?

A - Some people begin to see results within a few days of starting our program, others see results in a few weeks, and maybe even others a few months. Your Trigeminal Neuralgia symptoms improvement depend on many factors and is unique to each patient.

Q - What if my family, friends or doctor disapprove?

A - Disapproval can be hard to overcome, but not if you use a little logic. Consider that none of the people telling you that it’s not going to work are actually feeling your TN pain. Let’s face it- it’s a lot easier for them to give you advice than it is for you to live with the Trigeminal Nerve pain and discomfort of your condition.

One satisfied patient came up with a brilliant solution for this problem.

The patient asked the naysayer: “What will you say to me if it works?”

That decided it, she said. Does it really make any difference what doctor I use as long I feel better?

Q - Will I need to take supplements?

A - Supplement use depends on several factors that are unique to each patient and their healing process. “Yes”, during the times your body needs to reduce inflammation; “no” when we use our neurological approach or “maybe” if you need them for a short period of time to nourish your body to restore function of its systems and organs.

Q - What if I am taking medications?

A - Dr. Patrick’s treatment should not interfere with any Trigeminal Neuralgia pain medications you are currently taking.
